Zero down stream leakage in rectangular ducts is important in many applications. The FE&M zero-leak louver damper is engineered to provide zero-leakage utilizing a welded airfoil blade.
Sealing ambient air is injected through a flanged port external to the frame and into the space between blade halves. Sealing air is supplied at a pressure 3 Inches W.C. greater than the upstream static pressure to ‘block’ gas flow, thus providing 0.0% leakage.
This damper is also engineered to provide precise flow control when not isolating gas. All actuation, control and indicator options are available.
