The FE&M zero-leak butterfly damper was engineered to provide zero-leakage utilizing two blade plates attached to the same pair of shaft hubs.
Sealing ambient air is injected into the damper at a pressure 3 Inches W.C. greater than upstream static pressure to ‘block’ gas leakage thus providing 0.0% leakage. This damper is available in standard or optional high-cycle construction. It is also capable of providing flow control having a very small flow cross-section.
All actuation, control and indicator options are available. It is recommended the high-cycle version be operated either by hydraulic or pneumatic actuators.
